Proctor & Peake, Inc. is seeking to hire a polished
individual to assist in developing and supporting its custom
database application projects. We have a diverse and expanding
client base throughout the United States. This position requires
a professional individual who takes initiative and will thrive
in a small, team-based work environment.
Job Description
• Assist programmers with software development and
maintenance.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and research solutions.
• Document your findings in writing with great attention to detail and
consistency. Track problems and follow up to assure a high standard of customer
satisfaction.
• Responsibilities also include software testing and debugging, and administrative
tasks related to customer service.
• Part-time position, guaranteed 25-35 hours per week.
Requirements
• Strong technical skills. Strong interest in databases
a must.
• Professional presentation on the phone, in person and in writing.
• Proven track record in customer service and meeting the technical needs
of customers.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and organizational skills.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in customer service, help desk or technical
support.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server,
Alpha Five or equivalent relational database. Web application development with
ASP, ASP.NET and/or PHP a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft
Office and Outlook.
• Must be available to work during normal business hours.
