Comparison of Alpha Five and Microsoft Access

 


Here's our opinion on Alpha vs. Access. Both are good products. Each has its strengths over the other.

Alpha Strengths:

1. User-friendly interface and many convenient built-in features such as e-mailing.
2. Less taxing on your system’s resources than Access and therefore performs better as the number of users increases.
3. It’s not a Microsoft product. Some people don't like Bill Gates.

Access Strengths:

1. Shares a common development and user interface with other Microsoft products.
2. Access databases can be upsized to SQL Server databases.
3. It’s a Microsoft product, so there are abundant resources out there to help you learn and troubleshoot.
